Connecting with Nature Art Retreat

Using Unicamp and environs as our inspiration with its picturesque vistas, dappled ponds, rolling hills, fantastic forests, and expansive skies. We will explore the perfect location and capture the light of morning, afternoon, dusk, and sunset. In three or four sessions a day create a series of small works in primarily watercolour, drawing or choose your media of choice plein air style. These may be finished works, or studies for future paintings. Go off on your own, or stick with the camaraderie of the group. Be introduced to a variety of techniques and strategies to create interesting compositions. Other explorations may happen- impromptu printmaking, rock painting, environmental earth sculptures Who knows? We will explore principles of composition, colour theory for depth, some technique building along the way and one on one critique to hone your pieces. Learn about the close view with single objects & the long view – using panoramic skies and hills. This retreat is for all abilities, Adults – 16 years +, whether you are a practicing artist or just starting out, you set your own pace. No locations will be too far of a walk.
